A Little more about Strong Female Coaching and how we started

Coaching the postnatal program at my local gym over the last 2 years has been such a hugely enjoyable experience for me and I have gotten so much job satisfaction from watching the program go from strength to strength. Most days I just couldn't believe that my job entails me coaching and getting to know such a lovely group of like-minded Mams and playing with the gorgeous babies. After 2 years of coaching this postnatal program, I decided to take

the leap and set up my own company. Deep down this was something I had considered and knew I wanted to do for a while but I found it difficult to finalise the timing of when this would happen and hand in my notice. I would not consider myself much of a risk taker but I had confidence in my skill set and knew the demographic of lots of young families in the area. Once I handed in my notice, it was like a weight had been lifted off and I could finally get excited about the reality of my own company and being my own boss. I had lots of conversations with small business owners and got so much encouragement to take the leap. They said I would never regret it. My accountant has been pivotal and so helpful in the process of understanding the financial side of things.

On the days I start to doubt myself, I remember back to a conversation I had during my personal training course. We were all busy people who were doing the course part-time on evenings and weekends. One of the guys in my group just said "We are all grafters". He went on to explain that if something doesn't work out for us, we will work hard to find another way and ensure that what we are doing will be a success. This was a conversation I hadn't thought about in over 2 years but these last few weeks it has been ringing in my ears.

The messages of support and encouragement I have been on the receiving end of over the last month, have been overwhelming and not something I anticipated. The goodwill has only been comparable to that I felt when we got married and had our babies. The feedback on my logo has been so positive and I am so proud of what it represents and in what I have achieved in 1 short month of business. I am so excited for where Strong Female Coaching will go in the future. Watch this space!!!
